The Masters' Mile led off the action at the 2004 adidas Boston Indoor Games.
As Doug Martyn led the race, we were trying to get used to using a new camera and flash for the first time.
Rich Marion finished sixth in 4:34.85. The race was won by Craig Fram (not pictured) in 4:28.04.
The 600m race involved an interesting mix of competitors with some stepping up in distance and others dropping down.
Fred Sharpe (right) and Lubert Lewis, approximately 100 meters into the race.
Osmar dos Santos of Brazil dominate the race, winning in 1:15.90...
...the fifth-fastest of all time and well clear of runner up Lubert Lewis (1:17.56).
Joey Woody, who specializes in the 400 hurdles, finished fifth in 1:18.92.
Derrick Peterson warms up for the 1,000m race.
2003 World Indoor 800m Champion David Krummenacker.
L-R on the first lap: Sherman Armstrong, Krummenacker, Berhanu Alemu and Sam Burley.
R-L: Patrick Nduwimana, Nicholas Wachira and Floyd Thompson.
Armstrong, the pacesetter, leads through 300 meters.
Krummenacker and Alemu hang back amidst the 11-runner field.
2003 NCAA Outdoor 800m Champion Sam Burley leads 2003 NCAA Indoor 800m Champion Nate Brannen.
The relatively slow early pace prevented anyone from setting any records here.
Krummenacker (L) and Alemu position themselves behind Armstrong.
The young guys (David Paulsen, Burley and Brannen) hang out in the back of the pack.
Alemu leads Krummenacker by a small margin with about 300 meters to go.
Paulsen leads Thompson and Burley.
