With a half mile to go, the pack was starting to string out and Tim Broe was hanging...
...with the Kenyan duo of Thomas Kiplitan (leading) and Julius Kibet.
Broe managed to outkick his competitors and win the race...
...in 13:37, earning the USA 5K Championship as well. Kiplitan finished second...
...in 13:39 and Kibet dropped back to fourth (13:45).
Patrhick Nthiwa moved up to finish third in 13:44.
Linus Maiyo finished fifth in 13:46.
Valentine Orare finished sixth in 13:51.
Julius Kiptoo finished seventh in 13:59.
Shadrack Kosgei finished eighth in 14:01.
Isaac Arusei finished 10th in 14:04.
Ryan Shay finished ninth overall (14:02) and second among the Americans.
Shay won the USA 20K title in New Haven six days earlier.
