State sophomore Mike Inge continued to lead on the
third lap.

Inge
led wire-to-wire, winning the second 800m prelim in
1:47.77, the fastest time of the night.

Nebraska
freshman Dmitrijs Milkevics (3rd, 1:47.82) would advance
to the final on time.

Auburn's
Sherridan Kirk (5th, 1:48.52) was the last athlete
to advance to the final.

Inge
won the second prelim., Peter Etoot of Alabama finished
second (1:47.80) and advance automatically as well.

and Kirk.
