When Alistair Cragg took over the lead around halfway, he did not increase the pace much.
The leaders passed through 3K in 8:23, giving them a 2:45 for the third kilometer.
Ryan Andrus of Oregon leads Antony Ford of Montana.
Providence senior Adam Sutton.
Wisconsin sophomore Simon Bairu, a native of Canada, begins to drop back.
Ford passes Andrus.
Sutton.
Arizona's Kyle Goklish would finish 12th in 14:14.74.
Georgetown's Rod Koborsi would finish 11th in 14:10.51.
With six laps to go, Cragg surged and dropped the rest of the field.
He passed through 4K in 11:04 (a 2:41) and had a three-second lead.
Richard Kiplagat remains in the chase pack.
Simon Bairu runs in sixth place.
Antony Ford.
Adam Sutton.
Cragg seemed to be in no danger of being caught.
Ritzenhein, in second, had plenty of competition.
Ian Dobson ran right behind in third, with Kiplagat and Tegenkamp trailing.
Adam Sutton finished eighth in 14:03.47.
