Chris Emme continues to lead the 3,000m final at a slow pace.
Wisconsin's Chris Solinsky and Stanford's Don Sage run in the pack.
Wisconsin's Simon Bairu and Georgetown's Chris Lukezic.
Oklahoma State's Jason Woolhouse doubles back from his 3rd-place finish in the mile earlier in the evening.
Just as the rest of the field was beginning to look antsy, Alistair Cragg answered everyone's question.
Cragg and his coach, John McDonnell, didn't want Cragg to have to lead a hard 3K...
...in an attempt to wear out Nick Willis. Instead, they decided that Cragg would sit back...
...for the first kilometer, and run the last 2K hard. So about five laps into the race...
...Cragg surged into the lead and Nick Willis followed.
Chris Solinsky adjusts to the new pace.
Don Sage of Stanford also went with Cragg and Willis when they surged.
Both Wills (DMR) and Cragg (5,000) were running on tired legs after also competing the previous night.
