Tom Parlapiano (followed by Said Ahmed) sets the pace on the first lap of the 1,500m final.
Parlapiano continued to lead throughout, and Scott McGowan of Montana moved up to join him on the second lap.
With one lap to go, Parlapiano (11th, 3:48.81) continued to lead, and Nate Robison of BYU moved into second.
Chris Mulvaney of Arkansas, kicked by Robison in the homestretch to win, 3:44.72 to 3:44.94.
L-R: Andy Smith, Ian Dobson, Jordan Desilets, Aaron Fisher, and Soeren Lindner go to the front early in the steeplechase final.
Smith set the pace most of the way, with Dobson and Desilets following.
Desilets runs up on Smith and puts his hand out to keep his balance.
Desilets ran a strong final lap to win in 8:42.64 after finishing second a year ago.
Andy Smith finished second (8:45.84) with Dobson third (8:48.12).
Jonathan Johnson (right) of Texas Tech went to the lead early in the 800m final.
R-L: Johnson, Prince Mumba, James Hatch, Andrew Ellerton, and Dmitrijs Milkevics, with just under a lap to go.
Johnson held his lead to the tape, winning in 1:46.39 after finishing second a year ago.
Second this year was a fast-closing Jesse O'Connell from Georgetown (1:46.79).
After testing the weather conditions for the first lap or so, Dathan Ritzenhein took over the lead in the 5,000m final.
After falling on the second lap, Robert Cheseret of Arizona caught up quickly and moved into second place.
Stanford's Louis Luchini ran in third place...
...and Matt Tegenkamp ran in fourth, ahead of teammate Chris Solinsky.
Ritzenhein aimed to run the kick out of Cheseret...
...and Ritzenhein was able to put a little distance on Cheseret in the final laps, but it wasn't enough. (That's Solinsky on the ground in the background, who collapsed with several laps to go, but was okay.)
Cheseret came back from his runner-up finish in the 10,000 to win here in 13:49.85. He sprinted by Ritzenhein (2nd, 13:52.13) in the homestretch. Tegenkamp finished third (14:11.45) followed by Luchini (14:16.44).
