Dathan Ritzenhein's pain was evident as he circled the track...
...with a stress fracture in his left foot.
Abdi Abdirahman's pain was just the kind associated with hard work.
Matt Downin takes over fifth place.
With Bob Kennedy (one of the runners who had the "A" standard) out of the race...
...Ritzenhein just had to finish the race to put himself in the Olympic 10,000 candidate pool.
Meb Keflezighi dominated the race in the last two miles.
R-L on the outside: Greg Jimmerson, Richie Brinker, Fasil Bizuneh, and Teren Jameson.
Mike Donnelly (in fourth) runs almost an entire straightaway ahead of fifth place.

Richie Brinker leads Fasil Bizuneh and Ed Torres.
Brinker is part of the Michigan-based Hansons-Brooks Distance Project.

Dave Davis would finish 11th in 28:50.97.
Dathan Ritzenhein continues to plug along.
Matt Downin leads Chad Pearson.
James Carney had a great race here and finished sixth in 28:31.82.
Adam Tenforde is a 2004 graduate of Stanford.
Meb Keflezighi continues to lead the race.
