Hatch will be a senior at Arkansas in the fall.
The top four runners in each of the semis would advance to the final.

The men's 800 in the U.S. seems to be undergoing a bit of a changing of the guard.
While there are a handful of veterans in the event, there are also many young...
...runners - collegians and recent graduates - coming up.
Khadevis Robison lead down the homestretch, and the runners spread out across...
...the track as they fought for a top-four finish. Robinson would win the first semifinal in 1:47.49.
Derrick Peterson finished second in 1:47.87...
...and a fast-closing Jesse O'Connell finished third in 1:47.88.
Jacob Koczman (4th, 1:48.15) snuck into the final, edging out Christian Smith by .03 of a second.
Derrick Peterson advanced safely to the final this time around.
Minnesota's Trent Riter finished off a great season by finishing sixth here in 1:48.45.
