Matt Lane advanced to the final (and Luke Watson, 5th; Louis Luchini, 6th; Mark Menefee, 7th; and Seth Hejny, 8th did as well.
Adam Goucher said after the race that he didn't know what happened, and "I have to change a lot of things if I'm going to enjoy this."
Thomas Morgan finished 11th in 14:23.98 and did not advance to the final.
Ryan Bak limped home in 12th (15:41.41).

Ryan Kirkpatrick finished 10th in 14:08.82 and did not advance to the final.
With one lap to go, Tim Broe leads Bolota Asmerom and the rest of the field.
James Carney leads Jon Riley, Sean Graham, Jorge Torres, and Brendan Rodgers.
Dirks finished eighth in 13:47.97 and was the last runner from the second semi into the final.
Clint Wells finished ninth in 13:57.97 and did not advance.

Sean Graham finished sixth in 13:43.36.
James Carney, who finished sixth in the 10,000 final as well, has made a significant improvement since joining Team USA Monterey Bay.
