HIGHLIGHTS

Nick Rogers (#9) led the way early on...
...with Anthony Famiglietti, Meb Keflezighi, Henry Dennis, Mike Donnelly...
...and many others close behind.
Dennis (#49) won the 2003 USA 5K title at the CVS Downtown 5K in Providence.
Justin Young (#23) of Parsec Sports Timing, a store in Boulder, Colorado, which he co-owns...
...was a surprise in the front pack early on.
Young is a former Butler University All-American.
A lot of runners remained in contact with the leaders through the mile.
The leaders hit the mile mark in approximately 4:37.
Famiglietti appeared to throw in some surges in the second and third miles...
...which didn't change much up front, but runners began to fall off the back of the pack.
#3 Abdi Abdirahman took a turn in the lead. He had recently returned from the World...
...Cross Country Championships where he had led the USA 8K team with a 34th place finish.
