HIGHLIGHTS

#18 Anthony Famiglietti seemed to be controlling the pace in the early miles...
...but #1 Meb Keflezighi matched every move Famiglietti made.
#7 Bolota Asmerom ran in the pack for the first half of the race, and...
...started making his way to the front as the field approached halfway.
Just before the halfway point, the lead pack was down to seven runners.
L-R: Asmerom, Famiglietti, Chad Johnson, Henry Dennis, Mike Donnelly, Keflezighi, and Abdi Abdirahman.
Right around the halfway point, Abdirahman suddenly hopped off the course, holding his back. He had been suffering...
...from back spasms, which clearly plagued him here.
And then it was down to six.
Famiglietti, Asmerom, and Keflezighi began to pull away.
Donnelly, Johnson, and Dennis began to drop off in the third mile.
Famiglietti and Keflezighi took turns pushing the pace.
Approaching the 5K mark, Famiglietti made a push for the lead. The first runner at 5K who also finished in the top...
...15 would earn $500.
