With 400 meters to go, it's a close race for third place.

With one lap to go, Tim Broe is back in the lead.
Adrian Blincoe of Villanova finished well in fourth, setting a school record of 7:47.50.
Ian Gillespie of Great Britain finished eighth in 7:51.72.
With one lap to go Clint Wells, Hamish Thorpe and Bolota Asmeron kick it in.
With what must have been a 28-second last lap (Broe ran 30 seconds), Mucheru won the race in 7:37.46.
Tim Broe finished second in 7:39.23, breaking Steve Scott's 1981 American Record by .71 seconds.
Jon Riley put in a strong kick to finish third in a PR 7:46.84. He has one more season of collegiate eligibility and will compete for Stanford in outdoor track.
Matt Lane finished sixth in 7:47.96.
Brad Hauser finished 13th in 8:02.31.

Gabe DeLeon ran the 800m leg for UConn while former Boston-area high school star Said Ahmed ran for the Arkansas Razorbacks.
Jesse O'Connell runs in third place on the 800m leg for Georgetown.
