Villanova runners do strides in preparation for the race.
Providence gets psyched up.
The lead pack kicks up a cloud of dust as they circle the field before heading into the woods.
Among the leaders are Notre Dame's Marc Striowski (#403), Ryan Shay (#401) and Luke Watson (#404).
Also in the pack are Villanova's Tom Parlapiano (#544) and UConn's Dan Wilson (in stripes).
A slew of other runners follow.
Having completed a 5k loop, the runners start in on the final 3k loop.
