Running only his second race of the season (he won the Paul Short meet three weeks earlier), Dan Wilson brought his record to 2-0.
Luke Watson was a close second, finishing less than a second behind, also in 24:22.
Providence's Hamish Thorpe finished third in 24:28.
Adrian Blincoe (fourth, 24:31) led a string of Villanova runners.
Ryan Hayden (fifth, 24:34).
Jonathan Fasulo (sixth, 24:42).
Tom Parlapiano (seventh, 24:43). Despite having a strong 1-4, Villanova was defeated by Notre Dame, 49 to 52.
Todd Mobley of Notre Dame finished eithth in 24:47.
Marc Striowski of Notre Dame finished ninth in 24:48.
Dermot Galvin of Providence finished 10th in 25:02.
2001 NCAA 10,000m champ Ryan Shay (11th, 25:05) was a bit off his form and limped around after the race with ice on his foot.
Providence's Patrick Moulton was the top freshman in the race, finishing 12th in 25:07.
Dylan Wykes, also a Providence freshman, ran well in 13th (25:13).
Georgetown's Rod Koborsi, yet another freshman, finished 14th in 25:15.
Christ Miltenberg of Georgetown (15th, 25:17).
Providence freshman Patrick Guidera (16th, 25:23).
Tyler McCabe of Providence (17th, 25:25).
Notre Dame's Sean Zanderson (19th, 25:30) and St. John's Jose Zayas (18th, 25:29).
