Heat one of three in the 800m prelims.
L-R: Jeryl Wilborn, Antoine Harris, Thomas Chamney and Courtney Jaworski.
The top two in each heat plus the next two fastest would advance to Sunday's final.
Jeryl Wilborn (#929) finished second (1:52.64) to advance to the final.
There were no time qualifiers out of the first heat.
Villanova's Paul Moser, in sixth place here, ended up winning the heat in 1:52.11.
Adam Jury of Virginia Tech and Vernon Mickle of Boston College lead heat two.
R-L: Jury, Stanley Lagenade, Mickle and Logan Jones.
One of the favorites here, Jesse O'Connell of Georgetown, hangs out in the back on the first lap.
Rohan Alexis of Seton Hall finished fourth here (1:52.13) and did not advance.
Mickle (1:52.84) did not advance but O'Connell, Syracuse's Valerij Petrulevich (1:50.44) and Jones (1:51.29) did.
O'Connell won the second heat in 1:49.75.
Heat three, L-R: Nat Glackin, Andy Mitchell, Joel Legare and Deon Bascom.
Colin Quinn of Notre Dame struggled (1:57.36) and did not advance.
UConn's Joel Legare won heat three in the fastest time of the day, 1:49.52.
Seton Hall's Dwayne Thomas (1:50.53) and Georgetown's Ali Najjar (1:50.21) advanced.
Nat Glackin (right) ran 1:52.62 and did not advance.
Luke Watson jumps into an immediate lead on the first lap of the steeplechase final.
R-L: Pat Guidera, Jamie Carmichael, Ryan Johnson, Dan Boniface and Casey Frazier.
The runners skip the water barrier on the first lap but go over it on the second.
