With approximately 3/4 of a mile to go, Rodgers Rop of Kenyan holds a lead over Christopher Cheboiboch.
Rop held on to win in 2:09:02.
Cheboiboch finished second in 2:09:05.
Fred Kiprop (left) and Mbarak Hussein race for third.
Kiprop was third in 2:09:45.
Hussein finished fourth, also in 2:09:45.
The crowd recognized defending champion Lee Bong-Ju and cheered enthusiastically.
It was not Lee's day, however, as he finished fifth in 2:10:30.
Elias Chebet finished sixth in 2:10:40.
Simon Bor was the sixth Kenyan and finished seventh overall in 2:11:39.
Getachew Kebede, 19, of Ethiopia finished eighth in 2:11:43.
Luis Fonseca of Venezuela finished ninth in 2:11:49.
Joshua Chelang'a finished 11th in 2:12:40.
Silvio Guerra finished 10th in 2:12:28.
Joshua Kipkemboi, 43, finished first among masters (and 12th overall) in 2:12:48.
David Kiptum Busienei finishes 13th in 2:13:04.
Fedor Ryzhov, 42, finishes second among the masters and 14th overall (2:13:04).
Keith Dowling, accompanied by a bike because he's the top American male.
Dowling broke a six-year-old PR here...
...Finishing 15th in 2:13:28.
