With a half mile to go, 21-year-old Kenyan Gilbert Okari has a slight lead, which he maintained to the finish to win in 13:30.
David Chelule runs in second. He and Shadrack Koskei nearly finished in a dead heat, both running 13:38. Koskei was given the nod for 2nd.
Sammy Ng'eno finished 4th in 13:47.
Paul Mwangi finished 6th in 13:57.
Gabriel Muchiri finished 7th in 14:01, completing the Kenyan sweep of the top 7 spots.
Julius Nderitu finished 5th in 13:53.
Another former Providence College star, Mark Carroll of Ireland, finished 8th in 14:09.
#35 Patrick Nthiwa, 18, finished 13th in 14:29 and #16 David Njuguna, 22, finished 10th in 14:16.
Keith Kelly closed well to finish 9th in 14:15.
Mike Donnelly finished 12th in 14:28.
