Withrow
picked this spot to throw in one of his trademark
surges, he quickly put a lot of ground on Rupp and
Kiptoo...

...but
he lost steam before they reached the big hill and
Rupp, Kiptoo and Josh McDougal passed him again.

Withrow's
surge did not work as it had in the past, but it turned
out Withrow can win a race more than one way.
