Ryan Gasper, a sophomore from Fort Atkinson, WI, wins the freshman-sophomore
race in 16:37.
Five days after becoming the NCAA XC Champion, Jorge Torres (the '97 and '98 Midwest winner and '98 National Champ.) was in Kenosha as a spectator.

Around the one-mile mark, Nef Araia of Indiana and Solinsky of Wisconsin lead.
Stephen Pifer of Illinois will attend the University of Colorado next year.
Solinsky won easily in 14:49. After finishing third at last year's Nationals, Solinsky will be one of the favorites in San Diego.
Solinsky finished second to eventual national champion Tim Moore at last year's regional. Moore's winning time last year was 15:15.
Nef Araia of Indianapolis, IN qualified for Nationals for the second-straight year. He finished second in 15:08.
Wesley Smith of Hudson, OH finished third in 15:29 and will make his first trip to Nationals.
Garrett Heath of Winona, MN finished fourth in 15:31 and will also make his first appearance at Nationals.

Joshua Harper from West Plains, MO grabbed the 8th and final qualifying spot (15:45).
Chris Solinsky has already announced that he will attend the University of Wisconsin next year.
Nef Araia will join Stanford's national championhip team next year.
Solinsky films a segment for the TV show that is scheduled to air December 19th on Fox Sports Net.
