More than 200 of the fastest high school boys in the northeast take off on the Van Cortlandt Park 5k course.
Those pictured include #1710 Tony Truax of NH, #1266 Aaron Norton of Maine and #402 Brian Dalpiaz of NY.
The top eight runners in this race earn an all-expense-paid trip to Disney World for the national championships.
Those pictured include #1117 Dorian McDonald, #304 Maike Charron and #1089 Daniel Mazzocco.
#1333 Marc Pelerin, #1361 Chris Platt, #399 Sean Curran and #1931 Justin Correlli.

McDougal, followed by Brookline (MA) High School's George McArdle and Georgetown Day's Ben Stern.
#1382 Sean Quigley, #1635 Ben Stern and #61 Sean Murphy.
#91 Patrick Bailey and #1310 John Palumbo.
 
Peter Meindl of Orchard Park, NY distanced himself from the pack to win in 15:29.
Meindl was a Foot Locker finalist in 2000, he finished 21st at nationals.
He'll look to improve on that performance this year.
L-R: Jon Pierce (Ogdensburg, NY), Mint Henk (Braintree, VT), Brian Dalpiaz (Sayville, NY) and Andy Weilacher (Russell, PA).
The order of finish was Pierce (2nd, 15:31), Weilacher (3rd, 15:34), Henk (4th, 15:35) and Dalpiaz (5th, 15:36).
Marc Pelerin of Marlton, NJ finished 6th in 15:40.
Tony Truax of Dover, NH grabbed the 7th spot with a 15:41.
Brendan Sullivan of Port Jefferson, NY was in qualifying position with about 400m to go but couldn't hang on. He finished 9th in 15:48. (Several days later, Weilacher was in a terrible car accident and Sullivan qualified for Nationals as the alternate.)
Ben Stern of Potomac, MD put in a strong kick to grab the final qualifying spot (8th, 15:43).
