Jeff DeLong edged out Jacob Koczman 1:48.33 to 1:48.35.
Erik Nedeau moved up to third and Willy Best finished fourth in 1:49.27.
Nick O'Brien serves as the pacesetter in section two of the 800m, Bryan Woodward follows.
Georgetown's Jesse O'Connell runs on the outside.
R-L: Woodward, Anthony Kabara, O'Connell and Kevin Elliott.
R-L: Derrick Peterson, Elliott, Zach Whitmarsh, Lubert Lewis and Toby Henkels.
Henkels leads Canada's Achraf Tadili.
With about 250 meters to go, Kenya's Kabara and the Nike Farm Team's Woodward battle for the lead as O'Brien steps off the track...
Peterson had at least four runners in front of him but he put in a strong surge off the final turn to win in 1:45.69, a new meet record.
Kabara held on for second (1:45.96) and Woodward finished third (1:46.31). Jesse O'Connell (above) finished seventh in 1:47.93.
Zach Whitmarsh of Canada finished 10th in 1:57.87.
Matt Kerr (left) and Tom Chorny lead over the first water barrier in the steeplechase.
Bowdoin's water pit is on the outside of the track so the runners go over the water barrier on every lap and finish on the backstretch.
Carl Blackhurst (left) and Ray Hughes.
Canada's David Milne.
Kerr separated himself from the field almost immediately.
Chorny, the 2001 USA Champion in this event, runs in second place.
Blackhurst, a former Adams State runner, represents the Boulder RC.
Daniel Blouin of Canada, who received much attention (and a disqualification) after mooning the crowd at the 2001 Canada Games.
Canada's Kerr runs well ahead of the field.
