Canada's Matt Kerr leads the steeplechase.

Kerr dominated most of the race in a way that the final results did not reflect.
Kerr won NCAA steeplechase titles in 1998 and 1999 while at the University of Arkansas.
Tom Chorny continues to run in second place.

Chorny and Cordes move quickly with less than 600 meters to go.
Milne finished sixth in 8:49.22.
Ray Hughes was the defending champion here.
Daniel Blouin finished ninth in 9:10.03.
Jared Cordes (3rd, 8:38.36) kicked well and was barely edged out by Sandu Rebenciuc.
Rebenciuc had the best kick in the field, finishing second in 8:38.36.
Tom Chorny finished fourth in 8:45.32.
Recent Texas graduate Kevin Barra finished seventh in 8:57.77.
Ray Hughes finished an out-of-character eight in 9:04.65.
