The start of the 5,000m. Rabbit Amerigo Rossi (#157) leads the way.
Shadrack Kosgei settles into a comfortable place in the pack. Sandu Rebenciuc hooks onto the back of the pack. Kosgei leads with Japan's Michitane Noda on the outside.
We're guessing this is Artie Gilkes (17th, 14:44.77). Nike Farm Team teammates David Cullum (11th, 14:06.92) and Greg Jimmerson (4th, 13:52.66). Kosgei, Andre Williams and 2000 U.S. Olympian Nick Rogers start to pull away from the pack. Jimmerson leads a second pack.
Williams looked poised for victory but a last-lap sprint gave Kosgei the win, 13:42.48 to 13:42.94.
Brian Baker dipped under the 14:00 barrier with a 13:59.99 for 8th. Nick Rogers finished 3rd in 13:48.89. We think this is Sammy Ng'eno who won heat one of the mile in 4:04.87.
Dirk Ahman (?) and Ng'eno. Jamey Harris finished 11th in 4:12.98. David Cisewski (?)

The mile was billed as a sub-4:00 attempt for high schooler Ryan Hall but he fell off pace in the second half, running 4:07.44 -- which, had he run in the high school race, would have been a meet record by 8 seconds.
Rabbit Ricky Etheridge (?) takes the lead in the mile. James Karanu leads Erik Nedeau. Charlie Gruber and and Jeremy Huffman.
With one lap to go, it's (L-R) Clay Schwabe, Jason Lunn, Nick McFalls (mostly obscured), Hamish Thorpe, Jeremy Huffman and Desmond English who, coincidentally, finished in that order.
Schwabe edges out Lunn, 3:58.91 to 3:59.01. The happy winner. Nick McFalls finished 3rd (4:00.21).
