The Millennium Mile has grown tremendously...
...in its five years. This year's inclusion in the New Hampshire...
...Grand Prix Series helped bump up the number of entries...
...as did the unseasonably warm weather.
There were 546 official finishers at this year's race...
...and even more unofficial finishers. A sizeable number...
...of entrants neglected to put their timing chip on their...
...shoe and were therefore not included in the results.
This race began in 1999, when John Mortimer, Matt Downin and Andy Downin...
...decided to have a race in conjunction with their New Year's party.
The party-like atmosphere remains and the race is also quite competitive.
Casey Moulton, 22, of Pelham, New Hampshire, jumped out to a lead...
...in the first 400 meters and held on to it until about the halfway point.
Moulton has won many New England-area road races and has a twin brother, Patrick, who runs for Providence College.
