Sean O'Brien gradually inched ahead...
...while Nick MacFalls moved past John Mortimer...
...into second place.
O'Brien managed to hold off MacFalls in the final meters...
...and pulled away to win his first Millennium Mile...
...title in 3:56. O'Brien finished fourth in the 1,500m...
...final at the 2003 NCAA Outdoor T&F Championships.
MacFalls (mostly obscured) finished second, also running 3:56.
John Mortimer finished well in third (3:57).
Andy Downin finished fifth (behind Lubert Lewis, not pictured)...
...in 4:01.
Raymond Youngs (11th, 4:08) and Casey Moulton (12th, 4:09) finish.
#804 Matthew Croteau (23rd, 4:21) and Bob Collins (24th, 4:21).
#707 Gordo Tembi (27th, 4:25).
#838 does not appear in the results, he was probably not wearing his chip.
#717 Joseph Kennedy (33rd, 4:31) and #827 (not in the results).
#491 John Friedman (34th, 4:32).
#510 Shawn Green (44th, 4:37) and #893 Keith O'Brien (45th, 4:37).
