The anchors get the baton and the three-team race is on.
Lubert Lewis of the Syracuse Chargers ran away from the NYAC's John Honerkamp and won in 7:42.80 to the NYAC's 7:43.52.
Ireland's Daniel Caulfield leads early on in the SoBe men's 800m race.
Caulfield is followed by Jess Strutzel and Bryan Woodward.

Krummenacker set an American Record for 1,000m five days earlier in Boston.
Krummenacker stayed in the pack which was led by Caulfield...
...Until moving up next to him heading into the final turn.
For the second year in a row, Caulfield finished a close second, this time in 1:52.42.
Krummenacker won in 1:52.30.
The ESPN boys' high school mile gets underway.
Brian Dalpiaz of Sayville, NY had been tearing up the track all season long...
...And NJ's Marc Pelerin had run a quick mile early in the season.
A s on of the legendary Kip Keino, Andrew Keino of the Fork Union Military Academy finished seventh here (4:27.97).
Dan Mazzocco of Pittsburgh's Baldwin High School runs in the pack.
Pelerin continues to lead.
Halfway through the race the victory was still anyone's to grab with a tactical battle going on.
Alex Tatu of Virginia's Thomas Dale High School runs in the lead with Brian Dalpiaz.
Brian Dalpiaz ran a solo 4:17 mile at the New Balance Games two weeks earlier.
