Bryce Knight was the designated pacesetter here.
Lagat (left) and Mucheru followed.
Knight continues to lead.
Andy Graffin of the NYAC and England finished fifth here in 4:02.33.
Mucheru (above) and Lagat were considered the ones to watch in this race.
U.S. 1,500m Andy Downin was a surprise entrant in the race.
As soon as Knight dropped off, Lagat led, followed by Mucheru, Laban Rotich, Bryan Berryhill and Andy Graffin.
Downin, who is probably shooting for next weekend's USATF XC Nationals, was never really in this race. He finished sixth in 4:10.03.
Lagat continues to lead with Mucheru and Rotich right on his heels.
One week ago, Rotich was outkicked in the 1,000m by David Krummenacker at the adidas Boston Indoor Games.
