100 meters into the race it's (L-R): Vinny Ambrico, Richard Smith, Alex Bloom, John Richardson, Chris Platt and Brian Dalpiaz.
Sayville's Dalpiaz has worked his way out of traffic and leads Choate's Vinny Ambrico, Holy Cross' Antoine Harris and South Lakes' Richard Smith.
After NJ's Marc Pelerin scratched from the race and MD's Shane Stroup couldn't make it because of a snow storm, Dalpiaz was left without much competition.
The pack, including Haddonfield's Chris Platt and Ocean City's John Richardson, follows.
Dalpiaz continues to lead, Platt follows.
One week earlier Dalpiaz had run an impressive U.S.-leading 9:00.25 3,200m at the Armory.
Richard Smith of South Lakes (VA) leads Choate's Vinny Ambrico.
Dalpiaz passed through the 800m mark in 2:07.4.
