Former MA HS standout Jon Riley, now running for Stanford, followed by Ed Baker of Harvard.
Another former MA HS standout, Franklyn Sanchez, now running for Georgetown (but unattached here) followed by Todd Williams.
2000 Olympian Brad Hauser stayed in the mix for most of the race, finishing 5th in 7:51.20.
We think that this is Mike Donnelly -- he finished 12th in 8:08.06.
Runner-up Daniel Zegeye (7:48.46), an Olympic 1,500m finalist, followed by Hauser, followed by Riley.
Canadian Matt Kerr runs with Tim Broe on his shoulder.
Hauser leads Zegeye (with Riley on the outside).
Ed Baker finished 14th in 8:18.19.
Leonard Mucheru gained a comfortable lead in the second kilometer, but the pack started to reel him near the finish.
Mucheru (followed by Kerr) held on to win by half a second in 7:47.96.
Hauser followed by steeplechase specialist Broe.
Todd Williams, a two-time Olympian at 10,000m (7th, 8:00.74) leads Peter Sherry (6th, 8:00.21) of the NYAC.
Franklyn Sanchez finishes 10th in 8:05.43.
Zegeye and Riley race the last 100m --Riley's 4th-place 7:48.79 earned him a new Stanford school record (and a PR).
Scott Strand (11th, 8:07.10).
