Stanford's Jon Riley makes a move into the lead.
Riley leads while the previous day's 5,000m winner, Kimani, is content to tuck in and follow.
James Madison's Ben Cooke in the midst of the pack.
Stanford's Seth Hejny, one of two freshmen in the race, finished 9th in 8:12.65.
Sophomore Chris Miltenberg ran a strong race to finish 4th in 8:07.94.

Oliver Bodor of Northern Iowa was the other freshman in the race, he finished 14th in 8:21.86.
Kimani proved himself to be the most dominant distance runner of the meet, winning the 3,000/5,000 double for the second year in a row.
