|
In
the middle and late stages of the race, there seemed
to be a new leader each lap.
|
Eventually
it came down to the two Arkansas runners, Lincoln
and Cragg, vs. the two CU runners, Torres and Ritzenhein.
|
The
home crowd was unbelievably enthusiastic when the
two Arkansas runners took the lead.
|
Cragg
made a break and Torres and Ritzenhein charged furiously
on the last lap but were unable to make up the gap.
|
Cragg
won in 13:49.80. Torres was second in 13:50.35, Ritzenhein
third in 13:50.51 and Lincoln fourth in 13:57.71.

to hold on to it.
|
Josh Spiker leads the chase pack.
|
David Kimani, who's tripling (mile, DMR and 3,000)
here, runs in second for Alabama.

danger of being caught.
