www.mensracing.com   1. South Carolina freshman Otukile Lekote is introduced before the 800m final.
2. Dirk Heinze (3rd), Michael Stember (4th), Lekote (1st) and Bryce Knight (2nd).
3. TCU's Eliud Njubi (8th, 1:48.50) gets off to a quick start.
4. Lekote, a notorious frontrunner, set a pace that took the sting out of his competitors' kicks.
5. Using a frontrunning strategy that proved to be unusually successful in these championships, Lekote went wire to wire, winning in 1:46.68.
6. Despite two 4th place finishes (800, 1,500), this was a less-than-stellar meet for Stember (followed by BYU's Mao Tjiroze).
7. Penn sophomore Sam Burley earned All-America honors with his 7th place 1:48.44 finish.
8. In the final 100m, it was almost anyone's race. Burley, Tjiroze, Stember, Baylor's Floyd Thompson, Heinze, Knight and Lekote stretch across the track.
9. Lekote managed to hold everyone off for the win.
10. Lekote and Knight (1:47.22) go 1-2.
11. Lekote congratulates Heinze.
