WOMEN'S PHOTOS

Grant Robison and Sean O'Brien lead early on in the 1,500m final.
L-R: Jorge Torres, Nick Willis, Grant Robison and Sean O'Brien.
The leaders passed through 400 meters in 60.1.
Behind Torres are Minnesota's Martin Robeck and Nebraska's James Bowler.
O'Brien and Robison set the pace with three laps to go.
Also in there are Iona's Richard Kiplagat, Arkansas' Said Ahmed and Mike Taylor...
...and Georgetown freshman Chris Lukezic.
Just as he did in his preliminary round, Jorge Torres took the lead on the second lap.
Approaching 700 meters, it's (R-L) Torres, Robison and Willis.
Everyone in the race remained in contention at this point.
It was still a waiting game with two laps to go.
R-L: Ahmed, Lukezic, Bowler and Robeck.
Approximately 750 meters in, nightmare struck for Michigan's Nick Willis (mostly obscured by race official).
Not only did Willis go down, but when he got up, his left shoe was only halfway on his foot...
...and the race was long gone.
With Willis out of it, this was an entirely different race.
Weber State's Joel Atwater moved to the lead.
With one lap to go, Tolman led by the slightest of margins...
...with Grant Robison of Stanford poised to strike.
O'Brien, Ahmed, Kiplagat, Robeck, Mulvaney, Torres and Lukezic all ran just off the lead.
