to fix it. He finished last in 3:57.51.

Robison of Stanford made a big move on the backstretch
and seemed to have the race won...

on the homestretch, Chris Mulvaney launched his kick...

almost caught Robison. Robison hung on to win by .05
of a second.

Robison
ran 3:40.39 to Mulvaney's 3:40.44.

This
was the third time in the last four years that a Stanford
runner won the 1,500m.

Jennings won in 2000 and Don Sage (who was redshirting
the season) won in 2002.
