Boaz Cheboiywo said at the pre-race press conference that he would run like a wounded lion...
...if he had to fall on the ground at the finish line to win the race, he would...
However, Cheboiywo was the first runner to fall off the main pack of four.
With about less than 2k to go, he ran in fourth place and looked vulnerable.
Dartmouth senior Tom McArdle runs in fifth place.

Daniel Lincoln of Arkansas runs in sixth.
The Stanford quartet (and Butler's Mark Tucker) continue to lead the main pack.
R-L: Matt Tegenkamp, Gavin Thompson and Richard Kiplagat follow the main pack.
Ed Torres catches up to Montana's Antony Ford.
Torres and Ford again.
SMU sophomore Mindaugas Pukstas.
Pukstas with less than 2k to go.
Heading down the home stretch, Jorge Torres holds a slight lead over Alistair Cragg.
The pro-Torres crowd chanted "Tor-res! Tor-res!" as the two made their way toward the finish line.
Cragg -- who had outkicked Torres in the past -- had planned...
...to stick with Torres and outkick him at the end, but when he tried...
...he found that his legs didn't respond as planned.
Torres -- who was one of the best runners in the race who had never won an NCAA title...
...earned his first NCAA individual title, running 29:04.7 on the 10k course.
