Iona has team T-shirts that say something like, "Assembled in the U.S.A."
NAU Coach Ron Mann congratulates Iona. Eight days later, Mann announced...
...that he would retire at the end of the 2004 track season after coaching at NAU for 24 years.
NAU finished a mere one point in front of Iona, earning the third-place trophy.
NAU also gave Wisconsin a scare, finishing 16 points back (Wisconsin 174, NAU 190).
In his journal on runnerx.com, Josh Spiker called this a poor race for Wisconsin...
...and said that they "left the door wide open" and it "was a huge relief" that Wisconsin...
...held on to second place.
Grant Robison waves while Ian Dobson looks on.
No one could have possibly touched Stanford on this day. They scored 24 points...
.
...and had a winning margin of 150 points.
This was Stanford's second-straight title and the first under new head coach...
...Andrew Gerard (center).
