Gabe Jennings of Stanford sports a new 'do.
Seconds into the race, Ryan Hayden of Villanova begins to lose grip of the baton. After dropping it, he had to run back and get it, putting him a significant distance behind the field.
Running the leadoff (1,200m) legs for their teams, it's (L-R): Nathan Sisco, Brendon Mahoney, Jean-Marie Ndikumana, Mike Hummel, Daniel Lincoln and Aaron Lanzel.
Ndikumana of Abilene Christian leads Hummel of Texas A&M, Mahoney of Georgia Tech, Sisco of Wake Forest and Dave Cook of Michigan.
Stanford's Gabe Jennings and Arkansas' Daniel Lincoln take over the lead.
After running a 3:43 1,500 and 1:50 800 last weekend, Jennings showed that he's in decent shape after a long absence from competition.
Daniel Lincoln, on the other hand, has been on a hot streak ever since winning the NCAA steeplechase last spring.
