On the first lap of the boys' high school mile, Bobby Curtis leads, followed by Alex Tatu and Tim Erickson.

Curtis of St. Xavier High School in Kentucky was considered one of the favorites here.

Tim Erickson of Southern Lehigh (PA) finished 11th in 4:21.69.
Izudin Mehmedovic of Oakland Mills (MD) finished 12th in 4:25.98.
Mark Maternaof the Delbarton School (NJ) finished 13th in 4:28.87.
Brendan Fennell of Pearl River (NY) and Alex Tatu of Thomas Dale (VA) run together.
Shane Stroup of River Hill (MD) fights to hang on to the lead.
Matt Debole of Mount Tabor (NC) makes a strong move.
Brendan Fennell wound up third (4:11.94) and Alex Tatu sixth (4:17.52).
Matt Debole went on to win in 4:09.73.
John Richardson of Ocean City (NJ) finished fourth (4:15.00) while Bobby Curtis (8th, 4:18.46) appeared to give up.
Brendan Sullivan finished 10th in 4:20.67.
The start of the boys' high school 3,000. Marc Pelerin leads, followed by Brian Dalpiaz and the rest of the pack.
Pat Bailey of C. Milton Wright (MD).
Bryce Ruiz of Jamestown (VA).
Bryan Buckland of Westfield (VA).
Brian Dalpiaz of Sayville High School (Long Island, NY) moves to the lead.
Dalpiaz tore up the Armory track during the indoor season after qualifying for the Foot Locker XC Nationals in the fall.
Carl Dambkowski of Granada High School (CA) was also a Foot Locker XC Finalist last fall.
Dambkowski will run for Stanford next year.
