Chuck Sloan finished third in 9:00.17.
Marshall University graduate Casey Batey finished 11th in 9:12.77.
Adam Daniels finished 12th in 9:13.72.
The start of the College Men's 5,000m Championship. The first of two heats had 45 runners.
Villanova's Jon Fasulo leads Trinity's Ryan Bak and Arkansas' Wes Alkin.
Bryan Skelly leads West Virginia's Erik Bennett, Providence's Paul Reilly and Keene State's Dave Bridgewater.

Tennessee's Eric Bell finished 21st in 14:18.20.
Monmouth's Brian Hoffman (#49) and Nick Pellegrino.
Tennesse's Pat Gildea runs in sixth place with the remainder of the massive field following.
