Marla Runyan, running in front of a home crowd, won the 3,000 in 8:39.36.
Sonia O'Sullivan finished a close second in 8:39.88.
The men's 5,000.
Abraham Chebii won a competitive 5,000 in 13:13.53.
Hicham El Guerrouj and Bernard Lagat in the mile.
A year ago, El Guerrouj won here in a U.S. all-comers record of 3:49.92.
This year El Guerrouj won in 3:50.89, just missing his own record.
William Chirchir finished second in 3:51.03.
