The field was heavy on collegians with five of them running in the back here.
Sam Burley -- who won the NCAA title less than a week earlier -- leads Timothy Dunne.
Down the homestretch, it's (L-R) Burley, Woodward and Moise Joseph.
The top four in each heat plus the runners with the next four fastest times would advance.
Burley (1:48.74), Woodward (1:48.82), Joseph (1:48.84) and Harris (1:49.19) advanced automatically, Dunne (1:49.32) advanced on time.

NCAA runner-up Jonathan Johnson of Texas Tech.
USC graduate Kevin Elliott, who now represents the Nike Farm Team.
Minnesota graduate Toby Henkels, now running for Team USA Minnesota.

Floyd Thompson leads Johnson, Lubert Lewis and Henkels on lap one.
Also in there, on the inside, are Elliott, Marc Sylvester, Jean Balan and David Freeman.
R-L: Elliott, Lewis, Henkels and Freeman.
This ended up being the fastest heat with seven out of the eight runners advancing to the semi-finals.
