WOMEN'S PHOTOS

Jesse Strutzel gets ready for the first 800m semi-final.
NCAA runner-up Jonathan Johnson at the start.
Johnson leads on the first lap with Kevin Elliott and Derrick Peterson on his outside.
R-L: Bryan Woodward, Elliott, Lubert Lewis, Peterson and Moise Joseph.
Strutzel and Missouri's Timothy Dunne also run in the pack.
The top four in each semi would advance to the final. Johnson won in 1:47.56, with Woodward second in 1:47.67.
Strutzel finished third (1:47.76) and Joseph fourth (1:48.02). The most surprising casualty was Peterson (6th, 1:48.83).
Jean Balan gets ready for the second 800m semi-final.
Sam Burley -- who ran the prelims. in Penn gear -- seemed to have struck a deal with Asics overnight.
R-L: Floyd Thompson, David Krummenacker, Khadevis Robinson, Burley and Jebreh Harris on lap one.
Tennessee's Marc Sylvester runs just behind Burley.
One lap to go.
Burley leads Toby Henkels and Sylvester.
Toby Henkels finished fifth in 1:49.20 and missed advancing by .21 of a second.
Khadevis Robinson leads down the homestretch.
Robinson won in 1:48.29 with Krummenacker second in 1:48.71.
Floyd Thompson (1:48.81) and Sam Burley (1:48.99) also advanced.
Krummenacker seemed pleased to advance to the final.
Marc Sylvester finished sixth in 1:49.37 and did not advance to the final.
The hamstring injury that he had suffered earlier in the week didn't seem to be a factor.
