Jason Lunn won the 1,500 final in 3:44.00 but no one in the field had the World Championships "A" standard...
...only Berryhill had the "B" standard as of race time. Because of this, the World Championship team wouldn't be decided until...
...later in the summer. Grant Robison (above) had a strong showing in third (3:44.83).

There were 16 athletes in the field and the top two would qualify to respresent the U.S. at the Junior Pan Am Games in Barbados in July.
