Jess Strutzel and Derrick Peterson lead semifinal one in the 800m.
Jebreh Harris, Adam Davis, Peterson, Trinity Gray, Bryce Knight, Strutzel and Mike Schroer stretch out across the track. Only Peterson and Strutzel advanced as all of the time qualifiers came from semifinal two.
Baylor's Floyd Thompson finished 3rd in semifinal two (1:49.57), good enough to advance him to the final.
David Krummenacker, trailing the pack on the first lap, won semifinal two in 1:49.24, the fastest time of the day.
Khadevis Robinson and Lubert Lewis lead the way with about 250 meters to go. Both qualified for the final.
Semifinal one of two in the 3,000m steeplechase. Anthony Famiglietti,
Steve Slattery and Tim Broe lead.
Famiglietti, Slattery and Broe followed by Tom Chorny, Chris Dugan and Sandu Rebenciuk, all six advanced to the final.
Heat two - #410 Billy Herman leads #335 Robert Gary, #847 Tony Cosey, #755 Andy Tate, #821 David Wittman, #153 Carl Blackhurst and others.
The NYAC's Clint Wells leads Carl Blackhurst of Adams State.
Arkansas' Daniel Lincoln, the NCAA champion, runs up front with Robert Gary. Both advanced to the final.

Bob Kennedy warms up for the 5,000 in back of the Hayward Field grandstand.

Adam Goucher sets the pace in the 5,000m final.
The pack looks like a Nike army - including #485 Bob Kennedy, #644 Phil Price, #398 Brad Hauser and #130 Kyle Baker.
