The last men's event of the meet - the steeplechase final. Anthony Famiglietti and Tony Cosey lead.

Some recognizable spectators watch the race near the water pit.
With one lap to go, Broe leads, with Famiglietti and Chorny right behind.
Clint Wells closed quickly and finished a close fourth (8:25.73).
Broe opened up a seemingly insurmountable lead on the final lap but fell going over the last barrier, leaving the door open for an elated Chorny to pick up his first national title (8:22.16).
Broe recovered well enough to finish third but was still inconsolable.
During the award ceremony for the men's steeple, Broe gets a standing ovation from the crowd.
