The junior men's steeplechase, L-R: Collin Martin, Brady Ferguson and Daniel Lyon.
Martin represents St. Joseph's University while Ferguson runs for East High School in Rochester, NY.
Martin, Ferguson and Lyon continue to lead the way.
Four other runners follow them closely.
Lyon represents Sultana (CA) High School.
Brendan Sullivan of Port Jefferson (NY) High School.
Alex Moore of Texas A&M finished eighth in 9:54.51.
Sullivan finished third in 9:29.65.
Casey Burchill of Fresno's Buchanan High finished fifth in 9:31.66.
Matthew DeShazo of Humboldt State finished 10th in 10:27.70.
Lyon holds a narrow lead over Ferguson.
Just over 500 meters to go...
...Lyon came from behind off the final water barrier to win 9:18.67 to 9:20.21.
Richard Smith of South Lakes (VA) High School at the start of the junior men's 800 final.
R-L: Will Fitts (leading), Smith, Tyron Green, Paul Cross and Brandon Hodges.
With just under a lap to go, Fitts leads but appears to be hurting.
The rest of the pack remained tightly bunched.
