With one lap to go, Louis Luchini is in the thick of things, just ahead of Keflezighi.

Downin finished 13th in 14:10.18.
Culpepper, who had finished third in the 10k the night before, put in a strong kick...
...and looked elated as he cross the finish line in 13:27.52.
