Partway through the final 2k lap, Robert Gary continues to lead by a small margin.
Following Gary are Karl Savage, Dan Browne, Dan Wilson, Luke Watson, Sandu Reubenciuc, Chad Johnson, Ian Connor and Matt Gabrielson.
At least nine athletes were still in contention for the six spots on the World Championship team.
Karl Savage, a St. Joseph's University graduate now running for Zap Fitness, stays on Gary's heels.
Dan Browne leads Dan Wilson and Luke Watson.
Wilson graduated from UConn last year and also runs for Zap Fitness.
Browne was aiming to make his fourth World Cross Country team here.
Watson is a fifth-year senior at Notre Dame.
Sandu Reubenciuc runs in sixth place...
...just ahead of Chad Johnson.
Ian Connor runs in eighth place.
Matt Gabrielson runs in ninth place, not far behind the leaders.
