The 800m finalists line up.
Andre Bucher of Switzerland was the favorite heading in, having gone undefeated all season. With 400m to go, Wilfred Bungei of Kenya leads, followed by Bucher, William Yiampoy, #954 Hezekiel Sepeng, #772 Khalid Tighazouine, Mbulaeni Mulaudzi, Nils Schumann and Pawel Czapiewski. Bucher (1st, 1:43.70) made a strong move into the lead on the back stretch, passing Bungei (2nd, 1:44.55). #885 Czapiewski (3rd, 1:44.63) came from way back to edge Kenya's Yiampoy for the bronze.
